 Temple info -1223  கோயில் தகவல்-1223  Manakkudi Sundareswarar Temple  Arulmigu Sundareswarar Temple is located in the village of Manakkudi, about 5 km from Mayiladuthurai.  This temple does not seem to have been consecrated after 1941!  It was very distressing to see the condition of the temple.  The temple pond was adorned with beautiful lilies.  There is a beautiful staircase.  The villagers keep the pond clean. There is a lot of water in the pond as the access to the pond is not blocked.  Pool with beautiful stairwell.  Beautiful Tirukulam full of lilies. Legends Anjaneya of the temple was a pavement deity about 90 year ago on the second platform of Tiruchirappalli Railway Junction. The railway staff and the passengers used to worship him. In the year 1928, when works began to link the railway line of Erode and Nagapattinam, Armsby, the then General Manager of Railway district ordered removal of this Anjaneya.
