 Temple info -3363 கோயில் தகவல்-3363 Amaneeswarar Temple, Gopurapatti, Trichy Amaleesvarar Temple is a Hindu Temple dedicated to Lord Shiva located at Gopurapatti Village in Trichy District of Tamilnadu. This Temple was built by Chola Dynasty. The temple is rich in inscriptions and has magnificent sculptural wealth. History The early Chola temple here was in ruins but has been scientifically renovated and restored to its barest original form. Lord of the temple is called Thiru Amaleesvaram Udaiya Mahadevar in the inscriptions. It was built by the Chola kings in 975 A.D. It has the inscriptions of Uthama Chola, Raja Raja Chola I, Rajendra Chola I. One of the inscriptions here say that Chembian Madevi who was the wife of Gandaraditya Cholan and mother of Utthama Cholan, gifted lamps to this temple. The Temple The temple is East Facing.  Temple info -2345 கோயில் தகவல் -2345 Devambadhi Valasu Temple Sri Amaneeswara Swamy temple, Devambadhi Valasu:  This place is around 18 Kms from Pollachi on the Pollachi-Palakkad main Road.  The temple is around 1 Km from the bus stop.   This Shiva temple is unique in the sense that there are two Ammans- Parvathi and Ganga.  Another notable feature is the sthala Vruksham.  Here it is Neem ( vembu in Tamil ) which is generally associated only with Amman temples.  This temple is very small in comparison to the several temples about which I have written so far.  Temple info -1307 கோயில் தகவல் -1307  Sri Amaneeshwarar temple at Devanampalayam.  Moolavar    : Sri Amaneehswarar Consort      : Sri Akilandeswari Some of the important features of this temple are: The temple is facing west  in the middle of Karpaka river. The Garuda thoon is in front. As per Gurukkal there are 5 Shiva Lingas, of which 3 ( three ) are in the sanctum Sanctorum installed in a row and two are out side. The centre Shiva Linga is swayambhu. Sannadhis for Chandikeswarar and Dashinamurthy, are  built separately at a latter stage. There is no images in the koshtams / niches.  Ambal is in maha mandapam facing east. There are 4 Vinayagars, called sathuranga Vinayagars reliefs on the pedestal of Ambal and Athiri Maharishi is at the centre. The protection deity of this temple Varaaki is facing west.
