 Temple info -2176 கோயில் தகவல் -2176 Irattai Anjaneyar Temple, Melapathy, Mayiladuthurai Irattai Anjaneyar Temple is a Hindu Temple dedicated to Lord Hanuman located in Melapathy Village near Sembanarkoil Town in Tharangampadi Taluk in Mayiladuthurai District of Tamil Nadu. The temple is situated on the banks of Cauvery river. Farmers from this region pray to Lord Anjaneya for good agricultural yields. Legends As per legend, two monkeys helped in building a bridge across the Cauvery river. The two monkeys took rest in an Illupai forest nearby after the completion of the bridge works and died in that spot itself. People believed that Lord Anjaneya himself came in the form of monkeys and had helped them in the bridge construction works. The villages built a temple in memory of these two monkeys.  Temple info -2077 கோயில் தகவல் -2077 Kapotheseara Swamy Temple, Chejarla Chejerla Temple is dedicated to Lord Siva. The presiding deity is called Kapotheswara Swamy.  This temple includes three types of architecture called the Nagara, the Vesara, and the Dravidian. From the inscriptions, it is known that this temple was built during the 3rd and 4th Centuries A.D. The main shrine of the Lord is a long apsidal building with a barrel roof.
