 Temple info -3039 கோயில் தகவல்-3039 Vaigundavasa Perumal Temple, Kiliyanur, Near Pondicherry, Tamil Nadu Previous Next Vaikunda Vasa Perumal Koil is located around 1 to 2 Kms away from the Thindivanam to Pondy main road in Kiliyanur opposite to Kiliyanoor Post Office.  In olden days Kiliyanoor was called as Sugapuri since Saint Suga Brahmma Rishi performed Penance here and hence the name. Saint Suga Brahmmar had a Parrot like head and a Human Body and hence this place was called as Kiliyanur. The Agni Theertham which cured the leprosy of  Saint  Suga Brahmma Rishi is located here.  As such this Temple does not have any huge Rajagopuram. An ancient temple for Lord Vishnu is located in Koyambedu where the main deity is Sri Vaikundavaasa Perumaal and Goddess Sri Kanagavalli Thaayaar.
