 Temple info -2973 கோயில் தகவல்-2973 Moolanathar Temple, Keelathanjavur , Nagapattinam Moolanathar Temple is a Hindu Temple dedicated to Lord Shiva located in Keelathanjavur Village in Nagapattinam Taluk in Nagapattinam District of Tamil Nadu. Presiding Deity is called as Moolanathar and Mother is called as Akhilandeshwari. This Temple is considered as Avathara Sthalam of Seruthunai Nayanar, one of the 63 Nayanmars. There is a shrine for Seruthunai Nayanar in the Temple premises.  The Temple is considered as Thevara Vaippu Sthalam as Devaram hymns had a mention about this Temple.  The place was called as Marugal Naatu Thanjai in ancient times. Legends Seruthunai Nayanar was a Nayanar saint, venerated in the Hindu sect of Shaivism.  Temple info -2915 கோயில் தகவல் -2915 Moolanathaswamy Temple, Bahour, Puducherry Moolanathaswamy Temple is a Hindu Temple dedicated to Lord Shiva located in Bahour Commune in Union Territory of Puducherry, India. It is situated in the heart of Bahour Town. Presiding Deity is called as Moolanatha Swamy / Thiru Moolasthanam Udaiyar and Mother is called as Vedhambigai. The Temple was believed to be built during 6 th  – 7 th  Century A.D. by Pallavas and later got converted to granite construction during Chola Period. This Temple is one of the protected monuments in Puducherry declared by Archaeological Survey of India and is maintained by ASI. Legends Once, Chola King Parantaka Chola I wife was suffering from skin disease. She prayed to Moolanathar for relief from skin disease.
