 Temple info -3500 கோயில் தகவல்-3500 Sri Vakishvarar Temple, Vakishvarar Temple, Peruncherry Rd, Peruncheri, Tamil Nadu 609404 Sri Vaageeshwarar Temple is located in Peruncheri, Tamil Nadu at a distance of 10 Kms from Mayiladuthurai Raiway Station. The temple was constructed in 1212  AD by Kulothunga Chozha-III period. It is one of the  Thevara Vaippu Sthalam , which is mentioned in the Puranas of  Thevatharuvanam / Tharukavanam. It is also one of the Pancha Dashinamurthy Temples around Mayiladuthurai.
