 Temple info -2512 கோயில் தகவல் -2512 Vinayagar Temple, Nanganallur , Chennai Varasiddhi Vinayagar Temple  is a Hindu Temple dedicated to Lord Ganesha located at Nanganallur, a well-known locality in Chennai City in Tamil Nadu. The Temple is located at Nanganallur 2 nd main road. This temple is located next to Hayagriva temple. Built in the mid 1970's, this temple is one of the oldest temples of this locality. Nanganallur can be called as the Chinna Kanchipuram of Chennai due to the numerous temples it has in and around. History Kanchi Maha Periyavar used to stay only here whenever he comes to Nanganallur. The Temple The temple is facing east with a 3 tier Rajagopuram. Presiding Deity is called as Siddhi Vinayagar. He is housed in the sanctum. Presiding Deity is called as Arthanareeswarar / Jalakandeswarar and Mother is called as Arthanareeswari / Tripura Sundari.  Temple info -1857 கோயில் தகவல் -1857 Sri Dharmalingeswarar Temple is adorning the southern tip of the temples-map of Nanganallur, a flourishing calm cultural southern suburb of Chennai. The temple is at a distance of about 2 kilometers from the market area, and is very easily accessible. This temple was known in ancient times as Dhanmisar Semponkoil, as inferred from a stone inscription found in the temple. The inscription dates this temple's existence to the sixth year of rule of the Great King Raja Raja Chola (991 A.D.). The granite sanctum sanctorum of this temple along with the moolavar came up from an earthern mound covered with shrubs, only during late 1960s. Since then, the name and fame of the deities of this temple have grown from strength to strength and travelled to far-off regions.
