⚜ Sri Choliswarar Temple, Moolanaru,Tiruppur

💠 The Choliswarar Temple is a temple dedicated to Lord Shiva in Mulanur village of Dharapuram taluka, Tiruppur district of Tamil Nadu.

💠 The main deity here is called as Choleeswarar, Ammavari is called as Soundarya Nayaki. Since there is a mention of this temple in Devaram suktals, this is considered as the place towards Devaram. This temple is considered as a compensation temple for the offspring. The temple is believed to alleviate problems caused by planetary placements for those born in the North Star.

🔔 Temple History:

💠 A sage named Mulan lived here about 1,200 years ago.

After his name, this place got the name as Moolan Nagar, Moolan Managar and finally Moolanooru.

💠 There was a great plan to build a temple for Lord Shiva.

With the help of Poosa Kula Thondaiman, the head of this region, the Choliswara temple has been transformed. After that, the Chola Kings undertook the restoration works for this.

💠 Choleswara Swamy will bless the devotees in the form of his linga which is facing east from the womb.

Dakshinamurthy, Brahma Vishnu and Chandikeshwara Swamy are surrounded by a pregnant woman in their respective temples.

Ammavaru blesses devotees from her temple to Soundarya Nayaki.

Muruga Swamy will appear in between Swami and Ammavari temples with his wives Valli and Daivanai.

Here are temples of Vinayaka, Kashi Viswanath, Nataraju, Kalabhairavudu and Durgaamata, Kashi Vishalakshi, Sivakamasundari Ammavaru.

God Saturn, moon, sun and nine planets are all in their separate temples.

💠 There is a 60 feet high lamp post in front of the temple, it is known as 'Kambathu Andavar' means the head of the post.

That pillar is worshiped as Lord Muruga.

Sri Anjaneyudu on one side and elephant on the other. Also would have been decorated.

💠 Dakshinamurthy Swamy will be abhishekam on every Thursday.

To achieve higher level in education, people will participate in the poojas of Nardana Ganapathi, Pashupatiswarar and Soundarya Nayaki.

💠 During the pujas on Thursdays and Sundays, a herbal root is kept at the feet of Choleshwara Swamy and offered to those who suffer from poisonous bites and chameleon disease. They wear it as a bandage and follow the dietary rules for three days for complete relief.

💠 In the temple, special poojas are performed to Kambatalvar on the days of Tai Poosam (January-February), Vaisakha Visakham (May-June), Panguni North (March-April), as well as on the days of Kritika Nakshatra and Shashti Pournami.

Pradosham (13th day of Amavasya or Full moon parties), special poojas are also performed on Amavasya, monthly Shivaratri days and IPC Annabhishekam days coming in October-November.

💠 Four times pooja will be performed on the day of Maha Shivaratri. On the Kartika Deepam Day, which comes in November-December, a large Maha lamp is lit on a 60-foot-tall lamp post, illuminating the entire surroundings.

The lamp is believed to be lit for a week and bring wealth to the residents.

💠 Devotees participate in the rituals dedicated to Kalabhairava Swamy on the eighth day (the eighth day of the Amavasya or Full Moon parties) on Tuesdays for relief from the negative effects of the planets Rahu, Ketu, for relief from various worries they face and for the blessing of children. People worship Kalabhairava Swamy with red flowers and light lamps in coconut shells for six weeks.

💠 சோழீஸ்வரர் திருக்கோவில் என்பது, தமிழ்நாட்டின் திருப்பூர் மாவட்டம், தாராபுரம் வட்டத்தில் அமைந்துள்ள மூலனூர் கிராமத்தில், சிவபெருமானுக்கு அர்ப்பணிக்கப்பட்ட ஒரு ஆலயமாகும்.

💠 இங்குள்ள மூலவர் 'சோழீஸ்வரர்' என்றும், அம்பாள் 'சௌந்தர்ய நாயகி' என்றும் அழைக்கப்படுகிறார்கள். இக்கோவில் பற்றிய குறிப்புகள் தேவாரப் பதிகங்களில் இடம்பெற்றுள்ளதால், இது 'தேவாரத் தலம்' என்ற சிறப்பைப் பெறுகிறது. இக்கோவில், குழந்தைப்பேறு அருளும் பரிகாரத் தலமாகப் போற்றப்படுகிறது. உத்திர நட்சத்திரத்தில் பிறந்தவர்களுக்கு, கிரகங்களின் அமைப்பால் ஏற்படும் தோஷங்களையும் துன்பங்களையும் இக்கோவில் நீக்கி அருளும் என்பது பக்தர்களின் நம்பிக்கையாகும்.

தட்சிணாமூர்த்தி, பிரம்மா, விஷ்ணு மற்றும் சண்டிகேஸ்வரர் ஆகிய தெய்வங்கள், தமக்கென அமைந்த தனிச்சிறப்புமிக்க சன்னதிகளில் எழுந்தருளி பக்தர்களுக்கு அருள்பாலிக்கின்றனர்.

அம்பாள் சௌந்தர்ய நாயகி, தனக்கென அமைந்த தனிச்சன்னதியில் இருந்து பக்தர்களுக்கு அருள்பாலிக்கிறாள்.

முருகப்பெருமான், தனது துணைவியர்களான வள்ளி மற்றும் தெய்வானை சமேதராக, மூலவர் சன்னதிக்கும் அம்பாள் சன்னதிக்கும் இடைப்பட்ட பகுதியில் எழுந்தருளி அருள்பாலிக்கிறார்.

இங்கு விநாயகர், காசி விஸ்வநாதர், நடராஜர், காலபைரவர், துர்காதேவி, காசி விசாலாக்ஷி மற்றும் சிவகாமசுந்தரி அம்பாள் ஆகிய தெய்வங்களுக்கும் தனித்தனி சன்னதிகள் அமைந்துள்ளன.

💠 கோவிலின் முன்புறத்தில் சுமார் 60 அடி உயரமுள்ள ஒரு தீபஸ்தம்பம் (விளக்குத் தூண்) கம்பீரமாக உயர்ந்து நிற்கிறது; இது 'கம்பத்து ஆண்டவர்' (தூணின் தலைவர்) என்று அழைக்கப்படுகிறது.

அந்தத் தூணானது, முருகப்பெருமானின் வடிவமாகவே பாவித்து பக்தர்களால் வழிபடப்படுகிறது. ஒருபுறம் ஸ்ரீ ஆஞ்சநேயரும், மறுபுறம் யானையும் அமைந்துள்ளன. இவை அலங்கரிக்கப்பட்டும் இருக்கும்.

இந்தத் தீபம் ஒரு வாரம் முழுவதும் எரிந்துகொண்டிருக்கும் என்றும், இது அப்பகுதி மக்களுக்குச் செல்வச் செழிப்பைக் கொண்டுவரும் என்றும் நம்பப்படுகிறது.
