    This Temple is located in Alapakkam which is part of Porur in Chennai.  There is a Welcome Arch at the beginning of the street where the Temple is located.  Lord Shiva in the form of a Lingam is the Presiding Deity here and is known by the name Paaleeswarar.  Goddess Parvathi is called by the name Paaleeswari.  Unlike other Shiva Temples the Lingam is placed on a square pedestal instead of a circular one and hence this is an indication that the Temple was constructed during the Pallava Period.  The first Kumbabishekam was done in the year 1994.  There is a Sthupi here in which Vaali, Sangu Chakkaram and Garuda are here.  There are Shrines for Nardhana Ganapathi, Dakshinamurthy,  Brahma, Vishnu, Durgai, Chandeekeswarar, Kaala Bhairavar,  Seetha Ramar Sannadhi, Anjaneyar apart  from a Navagraha Sannadhi.   Sankadahara Chathurthi, Pradhoksham, Shasthi are celebrated here in a grand manner.  Sangabishekam is performed on all Karthigai Somavaram.

    இந்தக் கோயில் 10 ஆம் நூற்றாண்டைச் சேர்ந்த பல்லவர் காலத்தைச் சேர்ந்ததாகக் கூறப்படுகிறது. 1994 ஆம் ஆண்டு பூமிக்கு அடியில் சிவலிங்கம் கண்டுபிடிக்கப்பட்டு, காஞ்சி மகா பெரியவாளின் வழிகாட்டுதலின்படி கும்பாபிஷேகம் செய்யப்பட்டது. 

    வள்ளிமலையில் முருகன் வள்ளியைச் சந்திக்கச் சென்றபோது, ​​அம்பாள் அவருக்கு வழி காட்டி உதவியதாகவும், அதனால் அவளுக்கு வள்ளி-சேர பாலீஸ்வரி என்றும், மூலவரை வாலி மன்னர் வழிபட்டதாகவும், அதனால் அவர் வாலி-சேர பாலீஸ்வரர் என்றும் அழைக்கப்பட்டதாகவும் வரலாறு கூறுகிறது. பழைய கோயில் இப்போது புதுப்பிக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது, மேலும் ஒரு அழகான பிரஹாரம் நன்கு பராமரிக்கப்படுகிறது. ஒரு சிவன் கோவிலில் துவஜஸ்தம்பத்தில் கருடர், ஆஞ்சநேயர் மற்றும் சங்க சக்கரம் ஆகியவற்றைக் காணலாம் என்பது மிகவும் தனித்துவமான விஷயம். அந்த ஆண்டுகளில் சிவ வைணவர்கள் இணைந்து வாழ்ந்ததை இது குறிக்கிறது.

    மற்ற சந்நிதிகளும், ஐயப்பன் சந்நிதியும் மிக அழகாக செய்யப்பட்டுள்ளது. ஸ்ரீராம சீதா லக்ஷ்மணர் மற்றும் ஆஞ்சநேயர் சந்நிதியும் உள்ளது.
