Ariyanatha Swami Temple Harikesavanallur – Pancha Gurusthalam, PG78+599, Mukkudal – Veeravanallur Road, Harikesavanallur, Tamil Nadu 627426 Ariyanatha Swami Temple – Pancha Gurusthalam, is located in Harikesavanallur, Tamil Nadu at a distance of 24 kms from Tirunelveli.
Lord Dhakshinamoorthy in this temple is one of the five guru sthalangal. The other four are in thiruvidaimaruthur, attalanallur, thenthirubhuvanam, idaikkaal.

As per the legend, Kubera was ruling the Kingdom of Sri Lanka, which was flourishing with all wealth. Ravana, his step brother, had no kingdom to rule and was envious of Kubera. Ravana’s mother added fuel to his jealousy and he decided to grab Sri Lanka from Kubera. To achieve this, he entered into penance and Brahma granted him boon that he will achieve his goal, at an appropriate time. Ravana having now attained powers from his penance entered into war with Kubera and seized his kingdom and also Kubera’s Flying Pan “Pushpaka Vimana”. Also proclaimed that any one helping Kubera will be decapitated.
Kubera, now in banishment, having lost everything, and not even be able to seek refuge, wanted to achieve his lost fame and status. He was advised by Brahama’s son “Pulasthya Rishi“ to lie dormant and do thapas at the Banks of the Thambrabharani River.
And this Arikesevanallur was the place where Kubera set his foot to do this thapas on consecrated the temple of Shiva (now known as Kubera Lingam), and accomplished his aspirations . Lord Shiva appeared before him along with his consort, and Both blessed him and was made the kings of kings and made as Lord of Riches and treasures. Such a sacred place is Arikesevanallur where the Ariyanathar blesses his devotees with whatever they desire.
The temple was built by Pandian King Nedumaran, alias known as Koon Pandian and Arikeserai, who was turned Shivaite by the Thiru Gnanasambhader at the instance of the king’s wife Mangyarkarasi.
This temple is known as “ The Arikesava Eswaramudaiyar Siva temple” as mentioned in the stone inscriptions(epigraphs). Subsequently the temple was renovated and rebuilt by First Sadayawarman Kulasekara Pandian during 12-13th Century . The Temple was last consecrated in the year 1900 from the Kalvettukal in the temple and further that no Kumbhabishekam or Samprokhsanam is done.
Ariyanathar denotes 1). One who is rare, sacred and above all.2).One whom everybody, should know. 3).”A” stands for “Shiva and Brahma” and “Ari” reveals “Vishnu”, and hence incarnation of “creation, subsistence and obliteration”. who showers grace instantly and immensely on anyone submitting to Him.
Shri Periyanayagi Amman : As the name suggests, The Amman, big in stature about 7 feet tall, very beautiful , tender, warm and adoring, is totally compassionate ( Karunamaiyi Ma ). The very look at her will fill your heart with Her bliss overflowing
Unlike all the temples, there is separate alter for Periya Nayagi, clearly indicating the she is special and will shower more blessing on the devotees than Ariyanathar himself, asserting her presence and commitment to devotees. Always Mother is more compassionate than Father.
Shri Medha Dakshinamoorthy : Left hand touching and approbation of the student, left leg on right leg with the foot upwards, rear hands with Mazhu and deer, [ instead of fire and udukai ] with a special headgear. This is very exceptional and hence the place adored as 3rd of the pancha guru sthalas. He showers his blessings on dharshan itself.
In this temple Guru Bhairava occupies a place just opposite to the Medha Dhakshinamurthy’s Shrine. Lord of time and Divine Education, Guru Bhairava faces the Lord of Knowledge, Dhakshinamurthy, which is very unique. Those who pay obeisance at the place facing the deities at the same time, achieve knowledge on physical and metaphysical subjects.

Lord Jeshtadevi in this temple is believed to cure the maanthi (sevvaai dhosham ).Ambal, is in the 3rd praharam which is a separate temple. அரியநாத சுவாமி கோயில் ஹரிகேசவநல்லூர் – பஞ்ச குருஸ்தலம், பிஜி78+599, முக்கூடல் – வீரவநல்லூர் சாலை, ஹரிகேசவநல்லூர், தமிழ்நாடு 627426 அரியநாத சுவாமி கோயில் – பஞ்ச குருஸ்தலம், தமிழ்நாடு, திருநெல்வேலியிலிருந்து 24 கிமீ தொலைவில் ஹரிகேசவநல்லூரில் அமைந்துள்ளது.
இக்கோயிலில் உள்ள தட்சிணாமூர்த்தி ஐந்து குரு ஸ்தலங்களில் ஒருவர். மற்ற நான்கும் திருவிடைமருதூர், அத்தலநல்லூர், தென்திருப்புவனம், இடைக்கால் ஆகிய இடங்களில் உள்ளன.

புராணத்தின் படி , குபேரன் அனைத்து செல்வங்களுடனும் செழித்துக்கொண்டிருந்த இலங்கை ராஜ்ஜியத்தை ஆட்சி செய்தான். ராவணன், அவனது வளர்ப்பு சகோதரன், ஆட்சி செய்ய ராஜ்யம் இல்லை, மேலும் குபேரன் மீது பொறாமை கொண்டான். ராவணனின் தாய் அவனது பொறாமைக்கு எண்ணெய் சேர்த்தார், மேலும் அவர் குபேரனிடமிருந்து இலங்கையை கைப்பற்ற முடிவு செய்தார். இதை அடைய, அவர் தவம் செய்தார், பிரம்மா அவருக்கு சரியான நேரத்தில் தனது இலக்கை அடைய வேண்டும் என்று வரம் அளித்தார். ராவணன் தனது தவத்தின் மூலம் இப்போது சக்திகளை அடைந்து, குபேரனுடன் போரில் நுழைந்து அவனது ராஜ்யத்தையும் குபேரனின் பறக்கும் பான் "புஷ்பக விமானத்தையும்" கைப்பற்றினான். குபேரனுக்கு உதவி செய்பவன் தலை துண்டிக்கப்படுவான் என்றும் அறிவித்தார்.
இப்போது வனவாசத்தில் இருக்கும் குபேரன், அனைத்தையும் இழந்து, அடைக்கலம் தேடக்கூட முடியாமல், இழந்த புகழையும் அந்தஸ்தையும் அடைய விரும்பினான். பிரம்மாவின் மகன் "புலஸ்திய ரிஷி" தாம்பரணி நதிக்கரையில் தூங்கி தபஸ் செய்யும்படி அவருக்கு அறிவுறுத்தினார்.
இந்த அரிகேசெவநல்லூர் சிவன் கோவிலை (தற்போது குபேர லிங்கம் என்று அழைக்கப்படுகிறது) பிரதிஷ்டை செய்து, தனது விருப்பங்களை நிறைவேற்றியதன் மீது குபேரன் இந்த தபஸ் செய்ய கால் பதித்த இடம். சிவபெருமான் அவரது துணைவியுடன் அவர் முன் தோன்றினார், இருவரும் அவரை ஆசீர்வதித்து, அரசர்களின் அரசர்களாகவும், செல்வங்கள் மற்றும் பொக்கிஷங்களின் இறைவனாகவும் ஆக்கப்பட்டனர். அப்படிப்பட்ட புனிதமான தலம் அரிகேசெவநல்லூர் ஆகும். இங்கு அரியநாதர் தம் பக்தர்களுக்கு என்ன வேண்டுமானாலும் செய்து அருள்பாலிக்கிறார்.
மன்னரின் மனைவி மங்கையர்க்கரசியால் திரு ஞானசம்பந்தரால் சிவனாக மாறிய கூன் பாண்டியன் மற்றும் அரிகேசேரை என்றழைக்கப்படும் பாண்டிய மன்னன் நெடுமாறனால் இக்கோயில் கட்டப்பட்டது.
கல்வெட்டுகளில் (எபிகிராஃப்களில்) குறிப்பிடப்பட்டுள்ளபடி இந்த கோவில் " அரிகேசவ ஈஸ்வரமுடையார் சிவன் கோவில் " என்று அழைக்கப்படுகிறது . பின்னர் 12-13 ஆம் நூற்றாண்டுகளில் முதல் சடையவர்மன் குலசேகர பாண்டியனால் இக்கோயில் புதுப்பிக்கப்பட்டு புனரமைக்கப்பட்டது. இக்கோயில் கடந்த 1900ஆம் ஆண்டு கல்வெட்டுக்காலில் இருந்து கும்பாபிஷேகமோ, சம்ப்ரோக்ஷணமோ நடைபெறுவதில்லை.
அரியநாதர் 1) குறிக்கிறது. அரிய, புனிதமான மற்றும் எல்லாவற்றிற்கும் மேலாக இருப்பவர்.2).எல்லோரும் தெரிந்து கொள்ள வேண்டியவர். 3)"A" என்பது "சிவன் மற்றும் பிரம்மா" மற்றும் "அரி" என்பது "விஷ்ணுவை" வெளிப்படுத்துகிறது, எனவே "உருவாக்கம், வாழ்வாதாரம் மற்றும் அழிப்பு" ஆகியவற்றின் அவதாரம். தமக்கு அடிபணியும் எவருக்கும் உடனடியாகவும் அபரிமிதமாகவும் அருளைப் பொழிபவர்.
ஸ்ரீ பெரியநாயகி அம்மன்: பெயர் குறிப்பிடுவது போல, அம்மன், 7 அடி உயரம் கொண்ட பெரிய, மிகவும் அழகான, மென்மையான, அரவணைப்பு மற்றும் அபிமானம், முற்றிலும் கருணையுள்ளவர் (கருணாமையி மா). அவளைப் பார்ப்பது உங்கள் இதயத்தை அவளுடைய பேரின்பத்தால் நிரப்பும்
எல்லாக் கோயில்களைப் போலல்லாமல், பெரிய நாயகிக்கு தனித்தனியான திருத்தலம் உள்ளது, அவள் விசேஷமானவள் என்றும், அரியநாதரை விட பக்தர்களுக்கு அதிக ஆசிகளைப் பொழிவாள் என்றும், தன் இருப்பையும் பக்தர்களுக்கு அர்ப்பணிப்பையும் உறுதிப்படுத்துகிறாள். எப்போதும் தாய் தந்தையை விட கருணை உள்ளவள்.
ஸ்ரீ மேதா தக்ஷிணாமூர்த்தி: மாணவனின் இடது கையைத் தொட்டுப் பாராட்டுதல், வலது காலில் இடது காலை மேல்நோக்கி பாதம், பின்புறக் கைகள் மழு மற்றும் மான், [நெருப்பு மற்றும் உடுக்கைக்குப் பதிலாக] சிறப்புத் தலைக்கவசத்துடன். இது மிகவும் விதிவிலக்கானது எனவே பஞ்ச குரு ஸ்தலங்களில் 3வது தலமாக போற்றப்படுகிறது. அவர் தர்ஷனிலேயே தனது ஆசிகளைப் பொழிகிறார்.
இக்கோயிலில் குரு பைரவர் மேதா தட்சிணாமூர்த்தியின் சன்னதிக்கு நேர் எதிரே அமைந்துள்ளது. நேரம் மற்றும் தெய்வீக கல்வியின் இறைவன், குரு பைரவர் அறிவின் இறைவனான தட்சிணாமூர்த்தியை எதிர்கொள்கிறார், இது மிகவும் தனித்துவமானது. ஒரே நேரத்தில் தெய்வங்களை நோக்கிய இடத்தில் தரிசனம் செய்பவர்கள், உடல் மற்றும் மனோதத்துவ பாடங்களில் அறிவை அடைகிறார்கள்.

இக்கோயிலில் உள்ள ஜெஷ்டாதேவி மாந்தியை (செவ்வாய் தோஷம்) குணப்படுத்துவதாக நம்பப்படுகிறது. கோவிலின் S thala virusham – Nelli maram (நெல்லி மரம்) ஸ்வாமி சன்னதிக்கு பின்னால் அமைந்துள்ளது. கோவில் நேரங்கள் : 8 AM - 9 AM 4 - 9 PM தரிசனத்திற்கு முன் தொடர்பு கொள்ளவும்திரு.ஸ்ரீரங்கம்
