Sri Subramaniya Swamy Temple, Sunguvarchatram, Near Sriperumbudur, Tamil Nadu
Sri Subramania Swamy Temple or Sri Murugan Temple is located at a place called Molachur or Molasur in Sunguvarchatram. The full Name of the Temple is Sri Valli Devasena Samedha Sri Subramaniya Swami Temple. This Temple is located on the main road and the Temple has a five tiered North facing Rajagopuram in which a Spear or Vel is embossed. Devotees may have to climb 7 or 8 steps to reach the level of the Temple premises. There are two massive wooden doors on which the Arupadai Veedu have been etched. Beneath the Rajagopuram there is a Sub Shrine on the left in which the Idol of Sri Rajaganapathy is seen. To the right is the Sub Shrine of Sri Bala Murugan and both these Sub Shrines are North facing.
This Temple does not have a Dwajasthambam or Kodi Maram. The entire flooring of the Temple is neatly tiled and kept clean. Though the five tiered Rajagopuram is North facing, the Moolasthanam of the Presiding Deity of Sri Subramaniya Swami is East facing. This East facing Moolasthana Mandapam comprises of multiple pillars. The Gopuram of this multi pillared Mandapam has a stucco Idol of Sri Subramaniya Swamy who is seen in a standing posture facing North and flanked by His Consorts Valli and Devasena. In the East facing Sanctum Sanctorum the Presiding Deity of Sri Subramaniya Swamy is seen flanked by His Consorts Valli and Devasena. The threshold of the Moolasthanam has two black Idols of two Dwara Baalakas who stand guard here. Facing the Moolasthanam is a Neivedhya Peedam and a Mayil Vaahanam both of which are kept on a podium. Around the Kostam of Sri Subramaniya Swamy the Idols of Dhakshinamoorthy, Maha Vishnu and Brahmma are seen. The peripheral of the Temple looks spectacular with the huge Images of the Six Abodes known as Arupadai Veedu viz. Swami Malai, Thiruchendur, Thiruttani, Palani, Thiruparankundram and Pazhamudhircholai. Devotees can circumambulate the Moolasthanam and the peripheral is kept tidy. To the rear of the Moolasthanam is a golden coloured Idol of Sri Krishna.
To the rear of the Moolasthanam is a marked area where Marriages and other Divine Functions could be conducted. For conducting a Marriage before the Moolasthanam a sum of Rs.5,000/- is collected as fee. For conducting the Wedding on the peripheral in the marked area a sum of Rs.18,000/- is collected as fee and a Homam is allowed with a Purohit. At one end of the Temple is an elevated circular podium with four pillars and the Navagraha Idols are mounted atop this. Shasti, Thiru Karthigai, Thai Poosam, Aadi Kiruthigai, Panguni Uthiram are some of the Festivals celebrated in a grand manner.

ஸ்ரீ சுப்பிரமணிய சுவாமி கோயில் அல்லது ஸ்ரீ முருகன் கோயில், சுங்குவார்சத்திரத்தில் உள்ள மோலாச்சூர் என்ற இடத்தில் அமைந்துள்ளது. இக்கோயிலின் முழுப்பெயர் ஸ்ரீ வள்ளி தேவசேனா சமேத ஸ்ரீ சுப்பிரமணிய சுவாமி கோயில் என்பதாகும். இக்கோயில் பிரதான சாலையில் அமைந்துள்ளது. இக்கோயிலில் வடக்கு நோக்கிய ஐந்து அடுக்கு ராஜகோபுரம் உள்ளது, அதில் ஒரு வேல் செதுக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது. கோயில் வளாகத்தின் தளத்தை அடைய பக்தர்கள் 7 அல்லது 8 படிகள் ஏற வேண்டியிருக்கும். அறுபடை வீடுகள் செதுக்கப்பட்ட இரண்டு பிரம்மாண்டமான மரக் கதவுகள் உள்ளன. ராஜகோபுரத்திற்குக் கீழே இடதுபுறத்தில் ஒரு உப சன்னதி உள்ளது, அதில் ஸ்ரீ ராஜகணபதியின் சிலை காணப்படுகிறது. வலதுபுறத்தில் ஸ்ரீ பாலமுருகனின் உப சன்னதி உள்ளது, மேலும் இந்த இரண்டு உப சன்னதிகளும் வடக்கு நோக்கியுள்ளன.
இக்கோயிலில் துஜஸ்தம்பமோ கொடிமரமோ இல்லை. கோயிலின் தரை முழுவதும் நேர்த்தியாக ஓடுகள் பதிக்கப்பட்டு சுத்தமாகப் பராமரிக்கப்படுகிறது. ஐந்தடுக்கு ராஜகோபுரம் வடக்கு நோக்கி அமைந்திருந்தாலும், ஸ்ரீ சுப்ரமணிய சுவாமியின் மூலஸ்தானம் கிழக்கு நோக்கி அமைந்துள்ளது. கிழக்கு நோக்கிய இந்த மூலஸ்தான மண்டபம் பல தூண்களைக் கொண்டுள்ளது. பல தூண்களைக் கொண்ட இந்த மண்டபத்தின் கோபுரத்தில், வடக்கு நோக்கி நின்ற கோலத்தில், இருபுறமும் வள்ளி மற்றும் தேவசேனா தேவியுடன் காட்சியளிக்கும் ஸ்ரீ சுப்ரமணிய சுவாமியின் சுதைச்சிலை உள்ளது. கிழக்கு நோக்கிய கருவறையில், ஸ்ரீ சுப்ரமணிய சுவாமியின் மூலஸ்தானம், இருபுறமும் வள்ளி மற்றும் தேவசேனா தேவியுடன் காட்சியளிக்கிறது. மூலஸ்தானத்தின் வாசலில், இங்கு காவல் காக்கும் இரண்டு துவாரபாலகர்களின் இரண்டு கருப்புச் சிலைகள் உள்ளன. மூலஸ்தானத்தை நோக்கியபடி நெய்வேத்திய பீடம் மற்றும் மயில் வாகனம் இரண்டும் மேடையில் வைக்கப்பட்டுள்ளன. ஸ்ரீ சுப்ரமணிய ஸ்வாமியின் கோஷ்டத்தைச் சுற்றி தட்சிணாமூர்த்தி, மகா விஷ்ணு மற்றும் பிரம்மாவின் சிலைகள் உள்ளன. அறுபடை வீடு என்று அழைக்கப்படும் ஆறு தலங்களின் பிரமாண்டமான உருவங்களுடன் கோயிலின் புறப்பகுதி கண்கவர் காட்சியளிக்கிறது. சுவாமி மலை, திருச்செந்தூர், திருத்தணி, பழனி, திருப்பரங்குன்றம் மற்றும் பழமுதிர்ச்சோலை. பக்தர்கள் மூலஸ்தானத்தை வலம் வரலாம் மற்றும் புறச்சூழல் நேர்த்தியாக வைக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது. மூலஸ்தானத்தின் பின்புறம் ஸ்ரீ கிருஷ்ணரின் தங்க நிற சிலை உள்ளது.
மூலஸ்தானத்தின் பின்புறத்தில், திருமணங்கள் மற்றும் பிற தெய்வீக நிகழ்வுகளை நடத்துவதற்காக ஒரு குறிக்கப்பட்ட பகுதி உள்ளது. மூலஸ்தானத்தின் முன் திருமணம் நடத்துவதற்கு ரூ.5,000/- கட்டணமாக வசூலிக்கப்படுகிறது. கோயிலின் வெளிப்புறத்தில் குறிக்கப்பட்ட பகுதியில் திருமணம் நடத்துவதற்கு ரூ.18,000/- கட்டணமாக வசூலிக்கப்படுவதோடு, ஒரு புரோகிதருடன் ஹோமமும் அனுமதிக்கப்படுகிறது. கோயிலின் ஒரு முனையில் நான்கு தூண்களைக் கொண்ட ஒரு உயர்ந்த வட்ட மேடை உள்ளது, அதன் மீது நவகிரக சிலைகள் நிறுவப்பட்டுள்ளன. சஷ்டி, திருகார்த்திகை, தைப்பூசம், ஆடி கிருத்திகை, பங்குனி உத்திரம் போன்றவை இங்கு கோலாகலமாகக் கொண்டாடப்படும் சில திருவிழாக்கள் ஆகும்.
