 History of Nandeeswaran Temple located in Thennampatti village in:-

 Nandeeswaran Temple is located in Thennampatti village in Vadamadurai Panchayat Unions of Vedachandur Circle of Dindigul District.

 In the 14th century, the Vijayanagara Empire invaded and ruled the South East.

 Then the government appointed camp workers for administrative convenience.

 They were responsible for people protection, tax collection and agricultural development.

 At that time the Nayak who had power over this area

 North of the border, the iron-twisting Champa Nayaks also ruled.

 A Telugu inscription has been placed on the top of the Seludamman temple during the reign of the Telugu kings.

 While researching a Telugu inscription from Madurai Kamarasar University and trying to Tamilize it, it is mentioned that 1/17th of the paddy grown in the area should be given to this temple.

 So the researchers believe that this temple may have been built in the 14th century.

 Further

 The Nandeeswaran Temple is located in the Seludamman Koil Manda, the ancestral deity of the Devankar Okkalikar community.  Here Shiva and Parvati are showing the couple Sametharai. In the year 2000 kumbabhisheka flower, it is mentioned that Lord Shiva is shown in the form of statue only in the places of Adinam Salem Kanthashiram, Managiri in Sivagangai district, Thapavuur in Perambalur district and Thennampatti in Dindigul district.

 Nandeeswaran Temple has bi-monthly Pradosha Pujas and pujas on other special days.

The spiritual elders say that the devotees make requests to solve marriage ban, child birth and incurable diseases and the wishes are being fulfilled.

ஈசன் லிங்க வடிவில் இல்லாமல் 

சிவபெருமானும் பார்வதி_தேவியும் தம்பதி சமேதராய் கருவறையில் காட்சி தரும் தலமான திண்டுக்கல் மாவட்டத்தில்

வேடச்சந்தூர் வட்டம் வடமதுரை ஊராட்சி ஒன்றியத்தில் 

உள்ள 

தென்னம்பட்டி என்ற கிராமத்தில் அமைந்துள்ள நந்தீஸ்வரன் திருக்கோயில் பற்றிய  வரலாறு:-

நந்தீஸ்வரன் கோயில் திண்டுக்கல் மாவட்டம் வேடச்சந்தூர் வட்டம் வடமதுரை ஊராட்சி ஒன்றியங்களில் உள்ள தென்னம்பட்டி என்ற கிராமத்தில் அமைந்துள்ளது.

14 நூற்றாண்டில் விஜயநகர பேரரசு தென்தமிழகம் வரை படையெடுத்து ஆட்சியைப் பிடித்தது ‌.

அப்போது நிர்வாக வசதிக்காக பாளையக்காரர்களை அரசு நியமித்தது.

அவர்கள் மக்கள் பாதுகாப்பு,  வரி வசூல் மற்றும் விவசாயம் விருத்தி செய்தல் போன்ற பணிகளை செய்து வந்தனர்.

அப்போது இந்த பகுதியை வல்லம கொண்ட நாயக்கரும்

எல்லையாறு வடக்கே இரும்பு முறுக்கி சம்பா நாயக்கரும் ஆட்சி செய்தனர்.

தெலுங்கு மன்னர்கள் ஆட்சிக்காலத்தில் தான் செளடம்மன் கோயில் மேல் பகுதியில் தெலுங்கு கல்வெட்டு ஒன்று வைக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது.

மதுரை காமராசர் பல்கலைக்கழகத்தில் இருந்து தெலுங்கு கல்வெட்டை ஆராய்ச்சி செய்து தமிழாக்கம் செய்து பார்க்கும் போது இப்பகுதியில் விளையும் நெல்லின் 1/17 பகுதியை இந்த ஆலயத்திற்கு வழங்கவும் எனக் குறிப்பிடப்பட்டுள்ளது.

எனவே இத்திருக்கோயில் 14 நூற்றாண்டில் கட்டப்பட்டு இருக்கலாம் என ஆராய்ச்சியாளர்கள் கருதுகின்றனர்.

தேவாங்கர் ஒக்கலிக்கர் சமூகத்தின் குலதெய்வமான செளடம்மன் கோயில் மந்தையில் தான் நந்தீஸ்வரன் கோயில் அமைந்துள்ளது. இங்கு சிவனும் பார்வதியும் தம்பதி சமேதராய் காட்சி அளிக்கின்றனர்.2000 ஆண்டு கும்பாபிஷேக மலரில் துறையூர் ஆதினம் சேலம் கந்தாசிரமம், சிவகங்கை மாவட்டத்தில் மானகிரி, பெரம்பலூர் மாவட்டத்தில் தா.பழுவூர் மற்றும் திண்டுக்கல் மாவட்டத்தில் தென்னம்பட்டி ஆகிய தலங்களில் மட்டுமே சிவபெருமான் சிலை வடிவில் காட்சி அளிக்கிறார் என்று குறிப்பிட்டுறிருக்கிறார்கள்.

நந்தீஸ்வரன் கோயிலில் மாதம் இருமுறை வரும் பிரதோஷ வழிபாடு மற்றும் மற்ற சிறப்பு நாட்களில் பூஜைகள் நடைபெற்று வருகிறது.

திருமணத் தடை, குழந்தைப் பேறு மற்றும் தீராத நோய்கள் தீர்க்கவும் பக்தர்கள் கோரிக்கைகளை வைத்தும் ,அக்கோரிக்கைகள் நிறைவேறி வருவதாகவும் ஆன்மிக பெரியோர்கள் தெரிவிக்கின்றனர்
