🌹Sri Sornabhairavanatha Swami (Trichy):-🌹

 The century-old Sri Sorna Bairavanatha Swamy Temple is located on Trichy's Periya Kadaiveedi.  As Kalabhairava resides in this temple, it has been a special place for Kalabhairava.  People worship this temple as the Kashi of Trichy as it is believed to be as powerful as Kalabhairava, who sits overlooking the Ganga at Kashi, the holy place in the north.

 Earlier this temple was worshiped only by the devotees of this area and the surrounding areas of Trichy, but now the temple is thronged by celebrities.  It is believed that if you come to this temple on theypirai ashtami days and worship Bhairava by lighting a pepper lamp, perform special pujas and homams, your fear will be removed, your life will be prolonged, your enemies will disappear, and those in power and authority will regain their lost position.

 Recently the temple has attracted the attention of celebrities from the political and ruling class as it is believed to retain its status.
