Girjabandh temple where Lord Hanuman is worshipped as female

 

Girjabandh temple in the Ratanpur district of the state, is a small temple where Lord Hanuman is worshipped as a female.

Although Lord Hanuman was known for his celibacy.

So, it may surprise you that there is a temple in the country where his male form is worshipped instead of his more commonly venerated female form.

This unique temple is near Bilaspur, and interestingly, the tradition of worshipping Hanuman ji in his female form dates back ten thousand years.

The Girjabandh temple, where Lord Hanuman is worshipped in his female form, is situated about 25 km away from Bilaspur.

This temple is also known as Mahamaya Nagari, owing to the presence of the Mahamaya Devi and Hanuman ji temples in Girjabandh.

The idol of Lord Hanuman is adorned with eight ornaments and features Lord Ram seated on his left shoulder and Lakshman ji seated on his right shoulder.

Additionally, the idol’s left foot is said to be resting on Ahiravan, while the right foot rests on a butcher.

The History And Formation of Girjabandh temple

The Hanuman Temple is at Girjabandh in the Ratanpur district of Chhattisgarh.

As per local legends, it is said that the temple was built by Prithvi Devju, a local king who was suffering from leprosy after he saw Lord Hanuman instructing him to build a temple in a dream.

As he was his ardent devotee, he vowed to build a temple dedicated to his lord.

When the construction of the temple was about to be completed.

Lord Hanuman appeared in his dream again and asked him to bring an idol from the nearby Mahamaya Kund and install it inside the temple.

But when he reached the place and searched for the idol, he found it in a female form.

Being a devotee, he came back with that female idol of Lord Hanuman and kept it inside the temple.

Soon he was cured of leprosy.

Since then, the temple has been there and is visited by hundreds of locals every year.

இங்கு அனுமன் பெண்ணாக வழிபடப்படுகிறார்

ராமரின் தீவிர பக்தரான ஹனுமான், பலரால் வழிபடப்படுகிறார். அவர் மிகவும் மதிக்கப்படும் தெய்வங்களில் ஒருவராகக் கருதப்படுகிறார். அவர் அழியாதவர் என்றும் இன்றும் ஏதோ ஒரு வடிவில் இருக்கிறார் என்றும் அவருடைய பக்தர்கள் நம்புகிறார்கள்.

ஹனுமான் பிரம்மச்சாரி என்றும், ஆண் தெய்வத்தின் வடிவில் வழிபடப்படுபவர் என்றும் நம்பப்படும் அதே வேளையில், இந்தியாவில் அனுமன் பெண்ணாக வழிபடப்படும் ஒரு கோயில் உள்ளது.

சத்தீஸ்கர் மாநிலம் ரத்தன்பூர் மாவட்டத்தில் உள்ள கிர்ஜாபந்த் என்ற இடத்தில் இக்கோயில் அமைந்துள்ளது. இங்கு அனுமன் பெண் வடிவில் காட்சியளிக்கிறார்.

புராணங்களின் படி, இந்த கோவில் பிருத்வி தேவ்ஜு என்ற அரசனால் கட்டப்பட்டது. இறைவனின் பக்தரான இவர் அனுமனை தினமும் வணங்கி வந்தார். அவர் தொழுநோயால் பாதிக்கப்பட்டார், அதைக் குணப்படுத்த இறைவனிடம் பிரார்த்தனை செய்தார்.

அப்போது அவரது கனவில் தோன்றிய அனுமன், கோயில் கட்டும்படி கூறினார். ராஜா கட்டுமானத்தைத் தொடங்கினார்.

வேலை முடிவதற்குள், ஹனுமான் மீண்டும் அவரது கனவில் தோன்றி, அண்டை மண்டலத்தில் உள்ள மகாமாயா குண்டிற்குச் செல்லுமாறு கூறினார். அங்கே ஒரு சிலையைக் கண்டுபிடிக்கும்படி அரசரிடம் கூறப்பட்டது.

மன்னன் இறைவனின் அறிவுறுத்தலைப் பின்பற்றி அந்த இடத்தைப் பார்வையிட்டான். அவருக்கு ஆச்சரியமாக, சிலை பெண் வடிவத்தில் இருந்தது. சிலையைக் கொண்டு வந்து கோயிலில் நிறுவினார். இறைவனை வழிபடத் தொடங்கியவுடனேயே அவருக்கு நோய் நீங்கியது. ராஜா அனுமனுக்கு நன்றி கூறினார்.

அன்று முதல் பக்தர்கள் இறைவனை பெண்ணாக வழிபட்டு வருகின்றனர். கோயிலுக்குச் சென்று குலதெய்வத்தை வழிபடுபவர்களின் விருப்பங்கள் நிறைவேறும் என்பது பக்தர்களின் நம்பிக்கை.

பேருந்து அல்லது வண்டியில் கோயிலை அடையலாம். நீங்கள் விமானம் மூலம் ராய்ப்பூரை அடையலாம் மற்றும் அந்த இடத்திற்கு நேரடியாக வண்டியில் செல்லலாம். கோடை காலத்தில் ரத்தன்பூர் மிகவும் வெப்பமாக இருப்பதால், அக்டோபர் முதல் மார்ச் வரையிலான குளிர்காலம் இந்த இடத்திற்குச் செல்ல சிறந்த நேரம்.
