The fifth and final paṛāva (halt) of the divine Kashi Panchkroshi Yatra is the Kapildhara Temple also known as Kapileshwar Mahadev Mandir. After offering prayers at Kardameshwar Mahadev Mandir, Bhimchandi Mandir, Rameshwar Mandir and Shivpur Mandir, devotees take a dip in the three ancient ponds of Sona Talab, Saranga Talab and Kapildhara Talab that are at the final paṛāva (halt).

According to the Kashi Khanda of the Skanda Purana, this temple dedicated to Lord Shiva consecrated by Kapila Muni as Lord Vrishabhadhvajeshwara attains the same importance as Gaya (pind dāna). It has also been said that a dip in the Kapildhara Tirtha is equal to taking a dip in the Phalgu (Falgu) River that flows past Gaya.

Pilgrims stay overnight in this sacred temple and spend their time in prayer, meditation and singing bhajans. After taking a dip in the kund and worshipping Lord Shiva, they do pind dāna through offerings of sand.

There are smaller shrines dedicated to Lord Hanuman, Astabhuja Ganesha where Kapila Muni has been seated, various forms of Devi and others. There are Shiva Lingas consecrated in various parts of the temple complex.

After finishing the customary rites and rituals, devotees head back to Manikarnika Ghat (Burning Ghat) by walk or on a boat. The Panchkroshi Yatra is deemed complete only after one takes a dip in Manikarnika Ghat and offers prayers again at Kashi Vishwanath, Annapoora Devi Mandir and Kaal Bhairav Mandir.

It has been said in the Hindu scriptures that one who visits the sacrosanct shrines on the Panchakroshi Yatra with devotion will overcome mental anguish and obstacles and will receive blessings and all that they asked for.

தெய்வீக காசி  பஞ்சக்ரோஷி யாத்ராவின்  ஐந்தாவது மற்றும் இறுதியான பராவா (நிறுத்தம்) கபிலேஷ்வர் மகாதேவ் மந்திர் என்றும் அழைக்கப்படும் கபில்தாரா கோயிலாகும். கர்மேஷ்வர் மஹாதேவ் மந்திர் , பீம்சந்தி மந்திர் , ராமேஷ்வர் மந்திர் மற்றும் ஷிவ்பூர் மந்திர் ஆகிய இடங்களில் பிரார்த்தனை செய்த பிறகு , பக்தர்கள் இறுதி பாராவாவில் (நிறுத்தம்) உள்ள சோனா தலாப், சாரங்கா தலாப் மற்றும் கபில்தரா தலாப் ஆகிய மூன்று பழமையான குளங்களில் நீராடுகிறார்கள் .  

ஸ்கந்த புராணத்தின் காசி காண்டத்தின் படி , கபில முனியால் பிரதிஷ்டை செய்யப்பட்ட சிவபெருமானுக்கு அர்ப்பணிக்கப்பட்ட இந்த ஆலயம், கயா ( பிண்ட தானம் ) போன்ற முக்கியத்துவத்தைப் பெறுகிறது. கபிலதர தீர்த்தத்தில் நீராடுவது, கயாவைக் கடந்து ஓடும் பால்கு நதியில் நீராடுவதற்குச் சமம் என்றும் கூறப்படுகிறது.

இந்த புனித கோவிலில் யாத்ரீகர்கள் இரவு முழுவதும் தங்கி பிரார்த்தனை, தியானம் மற்றும் பஜனைகள் பாடுவதில் தங்கள் நேரத்தை செலவிடுகிறார்கள் . குண்டத்தில் நீராடி, சிவபெருமானை வழிபட்ட பிறகு , மணல் காணிக்கை மூலம் பிண்ட தானம் செய்கிறார்கள் .

ஹனுமான், கபில முனி அமர்ந்திருக்கும் அஷ்டபுஜ விநாயகர், தேவியின் பல்வேறு வடிவங்கள் மற்றும் பிறருக்கு அர்ப்பணிக்கப்பட்ட சிறிய சன்னதிகள் உள்ளன. கோவில் வளாகத்தின் பல்வேறு பகுதிகளில் சிவலிங்கங்கள் பிரதிஷ்டை செய்யப்பட்டுள்ளன.

வழக்கமான சடங்குகள் மற்றும் சடங்குகளை முடித்த பிறகு, பக்தர்கள் நடை அல்லது படகில் மணிகர்ணிகா காட் (எரியும் காட்) திரும்புகின்றனர். மணிகர்ணிகா காட்டில் நீராடிவிட்டு காசி விஸ்வநாத் , அன்னபூரா தேவி மந்திர் மற்றும் கால பைரவர் மந்திர் ஆகிய இடங்களில் மீண்டும் பிரார்த்தனை செய்த பின்னரே பஞ்சக்ரோஷி  யாத்திரை நிறைவுற்றதாகக் கருதப்படுகிறது .

பஞ்சக்ரோஷி யாத்திரையில் பக்தியுடன் புனித ஸ்தலங்களை தரிசிப்பவர் மன உளைச்சல்களையும் தடைகளையும் கடந்து வரம் மற்றும் அவர்கள் கேட்ட அனைத்தையும் பெறுவார் என்று இந்து சாஸ்திரங்களில் கூறப்பட்டுள்ளது  .
