 Thirupurandhaga Eashwarar Temple - Kundhambakkam near Thirumalisai Chennai.

Considered as one of the few chozha period temple around Chennai this temple is worshiped by Moon (Chandirar). This temple is renovated by then Pallava kings as well as Ponneri king.

As told by the Gurukkal it seems the temple is built by chozha king since they have established this place for chathurvethi village and wanted them to worship this shiva who considered to be the head of Vedic saints.

Even today a Nagar (snake) visit this temple and do worship to God.

Before the king got the lord shiva idol here, he tried to make couple of shivalingam but could not finsh it due to lord's play. Finally they found the shivalingam and kept it here. The other two shivalingam are kept down the Nagalingam tree with in the temple compound.

 திருப்புராந்தக ஈஸ்வரர் கோயில் - திருமழிசை சென்னைக்கு அருகில் உள்ள குந்தம்பாக்கம்.

 சென்னையைச் சுற்றியுள்ள சில சோழர் காலக் கோயில்களில் ஒன்றாகக் கருதப்படும் இந்தக் கோயில் சந்திரனால் (சந்திரர்) வழிபடப்படுகிறது.  இக்கோயில் அன்றைய பல்லவ மன்னர்களாலும் பொன்னேரி அரசர்களாலும் புதுப்பிக்கப்பட்டது.

 குருக்கள் கூறியது போல், அவர்கள் சதுர்வேதி கிராமத்திற்காக இந்த இடத்தை நிறுவி, சைவ துறவிகளின் தலைவராகக் கருதப்படும் இந்த சிவனை வழிபட வேண்டும் என்று விரும்பியதால், சோழ மன்னரால் கட்டப்பட்ட கோயில் தெரிகிறது.

 இன்றும் ஒரு நாகர் (பாம்பு) இந்தக் கோயிலுக்குச் சென்று கடவுளை வழிபடுகிறது.

 மன்னன் சிவன் சிலையை இங்கு பெறுவதற்கு முன்பு, அவர் இரண்டு சிவலிங்கம் செய்ய முயன்றார், ஆனால் இறைவனின் விளையாட்டால் அதை முடிக்க முடியவில்லை.  கடைசியாக சிவலிங்கத்தைக் கண்டுபிடித்து இங்கு வைத்தனர்.  மற்ற இரண்டு சிவலிங்கங்களும் கோவில் வளாகத்தில் உள்ள நாகலிங்க மரத்தின் கீழே வைக்கப்பட்டுள்ளன.
