 ஜமதக்னீஸ்வரர் உடையவர்தீயனூர்

 The plane of the Mother Amirthambika shrine is in a conical shape.  The goddess is adorned with a beautiful karanda magudam on her head, a bandra makara kundalams on both ears, a Capricorn #kundalas, a beautiful thali around her neck, a bracelet on her hands, a satangai on her legs, an atsamalai on her right hand, a nilorpava flower on her left hand, a seal on her forearm and a thigh on her thigh.

 People worship the moolavar here to get rid of various ailments like stomach ache, cataracts and cholera.

 🌺 Also marriage delays, child blessing, navagraha doshas are also worshiped here . The temple was Built durin the fays of Second Rajarajan in 1166.

 The ancient name of this town is Thiyanur.  According to an inscription of Rajathirajan I written in Cholapuram with the Ganges, the name of this town was Manukulakesari Nallur.

 The present name is Deeyanur and there are two villages, Perumal Deeyanur.  Shiva Temple Located at Thiyanur Vishnu Temple Located at Perumal Deyanur.

Called Thiyanur due to its hot climate.  In ancient times, the area was known as Vilvaranyam as it was a forest of archery trees.

 One of the Saptarishis in this forest, Sage Jamatakni came here to perform penance towards Lord Shiva and stayed there and worshiped Shiva under the Vilva tree.  It was that lingam that became Jamatakniswarar (also known as Agneswarar because of his worship of Agni).

 The Theerthakulam adjacent to the temple is the Agni Theertham and the Maruthayaru, the holy theertham that flows here.  On the advice of Jamatakni, Parasuramar used to worship Tirthamadi Aesan daily in the Marudai river, which flows north of Paluvur, to remove the guilt of killing his mother Renuka Devi.  Hence, this river is also known by the special name of Parasurama River.

 The town is locatedi on the road from Ariyalur to Sripuranthan via V.Kaikatti, next to the Nagamangalam, Ambalavar kattalai.

அன்னை அமிர்தாம்பிகை சன்னதியின் விமானம் கூம்புவடிவ அமைப்பில் உள்ளது. தலையில் அழகிய கரண்ட மகுடம் அலங்கரிக்க, இரண்டு காதுகளிலும் பத்ர, மகர #குண்டலங்கள், கழுத்தில் அழகிய தாலி, கைகளில் வளையல், கால்களில் சதங்கை என அணிமணிகள், மேல் வலது கையில் அட்சமாலை, இடது கையில் நீலோற்பவ மலர், முன் வலக்கையை அபயமுத்திரையுடனும், இடக்கையை தொடையில் ஊன்றியவாரும் அம்மன் காட்சி தருகிறார்.

வயிற்றுவலி, கண்நோய், சூலை நோய் போன்ற பல்வேறு நோய்களிலிருந்து விடுபட இங்குள்ள மூலவரை வணங்கி செல்கின்றனர். 

மேலும் திருமணத்தடை, குழந்தை பாக்கியம், நவகிரக தோஷங்கள் நீங்கவும் இங்கு #வழிபடுகின்றனர்.இரண்டாம் ராஜராஜன் காலத்தில் கற்றளியாக கி.பி. 1166ல் கட்டப்பெற்ற பழமையுடையது. 

இவ்வூரின் தொன்மையான பெயர் தீயனூர். இவ்வூருக்கு மனுகுலகேசரி நல்லூர் என்ற பெயர் இருந்ததாக, கங்கை கொண்ட சோழபுரத்தில் எழுதப்பட்ட முதலாம் ராஜாதிராஜன் கல்வெட்டு சொல்கிறது. 

தற்போது உடையவர் தீயனூர், பெருமாள் தீயனூர் என்னும் இரண்டு சிற்றூர்கள் உள்ளன. சிவன் கோயில் #அமைந்த பகுதி உடையவர் தீயனூர் விஷ்ணு கோயில் அமைந்துள்ள பகுதி பெருமாள் தீயனூர்.

வெப்பம் மிகுந்த பிரதேசமாதலால் தீயனூர் என்றழைக்கப்பட்டது. புராண காலத்தில் இப்பகுதி வில்வ மரங்கள் நிறைந்த வனப்பிரதேசமாக இருந்தமையால் வில்வாரண்யம் என்று அழைக்கப்பட்டது. 

இந்த வனத்தில் சப்தரிஷிகளில் ஒருவரான ஜமதக்னி முனிவர் சிவபெருமானை நோக்கி தவம் #செய்வதற்காக இங்கு வந்து தங்கி வில்வ மரத்தின் கீழ் சிவலிங்க பிரதிஷ்டை செய்து வழிபட்டார். அந்த லிங்க மூர்த்தமே, ஜமதக்னீஸ்வரர் ஆனது.(அக்னி வழிபட்டதால் அக்னீஸ்வரர் என்ற திருப்பெயரும் உண்டு.)

திருக்கோயிலை ஒட்டியுள்ள தீர்த்தக்குளம் அக்னி தீர்த்தமாகவும், இங்கு ஓடும் மருதையாறு, புண்ணிய தீர்த்தமாகவும் திகழ்கிறது. ஜமதக்னியின் அறிவுரைப்படி #பரசுராமர் தன் தாய் ரேணுகாதேவியைக் கொன்ற தோஷம் நீங்க, பழுவூருக்கு வடக்கில் ஓடும் மருதை ஆற்றில்தான் நாள்தோறும் தீர்த்தமாடி ஈசனை வழிபட்டு வந்தார். எனவே, இந்த நதி பரசுராம நதி என்ற சிறப்புப் பெயராலும் அறியப்படுகிறது.

அரியலூரிலிருந்து வி.கைகாட்டி வழியாக, ஸ்ரீபுராந்தான் வரை செல்லும் சாலையில் நாகமங்கலம், அம்பலவர் கட்டளையை அடுத்து இவ்வூர் அமைந்துள்ளது.
